Our Best Clients

Oh man, are we ever grateful for our clients. And truth be told, there is a lot that goes into being one of our best clients! (In fact one of us (ahem, ME!) used to be the best client of one of the other founders of Hitch! We want to be our best and it helps when clients are their best too. We can move mountains when we are both kicking a*s together. We will always work hard for our clients, but when they set the proverbial punt up just right, we score every time.

Now that you are all clamoring to be one of our best clients. We are going to give you the keys to the castle and give you the traits that we are most thankful for in the brands we work with.

1. Courageous

The top trait that all of our best clients share is courage. When we say courage, we don’t mean we expect you to dress like a bat and fight supervillains (though you would definitely be our very favorite client if you did). No, when we say courage, we mean that you have the guts to think outside the box and push the boundaries with us. If you wanted a boring, cookie-cutter marketing campaign, you could have simply found one of those run-of-the-mill agencies. But, no. You came to us (good choice) which means you must have some outrageous ideas that you feel that only we can bring to life. This takes drive and we are here for it. A driven client can really push the boundaries and bring some truly incredible events to life. That is courage. And we love that.

2. Trusting

Going hand-in-hand with courage is trust.  You chose us to make awesome ideas come to life. But what we didn’t tell you is that we chose you right back. When this type of mutual selection happens, trust is the key. Trust that you made the right choice. We know what we are doing, but some projects may take some very M. Night Shyamalan-style twists. When clients don’t trust us, they may want to pull the plug on the great work we are doing together. This is no fun. Experiential marketing almost always comes with twists and turns. We are in the trenches with you, not the ones throwing the grenades. That’s why our best clients trust us to roll with the punches, and we trust them to keep finding ways to make it work with us.

3. Collaborative

Now, obviously pulling off awesome live events like the one rolling around in your head will take a good bit of collaboration. But what does it really mean to be collaborative? In our event marketing hive mind, it means we work together to find solutions and crush projects. Not every idea we throw out there is going to be a winner, and not every idea you throw out will be either. That’s okay. In fact, it’s expected. Asking questions and providing quality feedback is what we need from our best clients. If you don’t like an idea, that’s okay. We can take it, I promise. We just need you to tell us why and work with us to find a workable solution.

4. Flexible

Can you do the splits? No? Then we don’t want to work with you. I kid of course. I haven’t been able to do the splits since NSYNC was still together. When we talk about flexibility, we really mean that we want our best clients to be able to adapt to the craziness that comes with this line of work. An experiential event is no walk in the park. It takes flexibility and a lot of moving parts to bring the final project to life. We know how to go with the flow, but when a client can match that level of flexibility, we love them. We will help you through the process, so you don’t have to worry about unexpected twists and turns.

5. Friendly

There’s nothing like working with your friends. That’s why our best clients are friendly. This work can be stressful, and we try to inject a some fun and shenanigans into the process. We mean that we want the whole experience to be a joyful one. I mean we are crafting a bada*s experiential event together. And it's awesome! When clients are less than friendly, it makes it hard to operate. We prefer to make this stuff fun, and if you’re a stick in the mud or a big old meanie, that is almost impossible. Our best clients are fun and kind, taking the work seriously but having a ton of fun with us all along the way.

In the end, any of our prospective clients can be one of our best clients. Each new client brings fun new experiences to our work and new lessons learned. The best clients live with us forever and we like to think they keep us in their hearts forever, too. We are thankful for you!
